Fantastic article by Chris T-T about why there is apparently no political music in the mainstream. The argument focuses on the NME under Krissi Murison’s editorship. Murison’s recent moan in the Guardian is put under analysis.

His critique of how the exclusion works is seamless and well made, missing only a class perspective. I’d love to see Chris T-T’s playlist of those he sees as excluded because of their political music. The 50 Protest Songs is more historical and his case in the Morning Star is about British musicians now.
